DESCRIPTION

The HPE LTO7 Ultrium 15TB RW Data Cartridge uses the new recording technology Barium Ferrite (BaFe) for improved reliability, longevity and density.  The HPE LTO7 data cartridge can be read and written to in all LTO7 Ultrium 7 drives and libraries and all LTO8 Ultrium 8 drives and libraries.

Tape storage provides a reliable offline medium that creates "air gap" protection for your data. This means it is disconnected from your network and minimises the risk of data damage or loss caused by system failures, exposure to computer viruses and cyberattacks.

Built-in AES 256-bit encryption (LTO5 to LTO9) allows you to provide additional security for data stored on tape. With LTO encryption, even if tapes were to fall into the wrong hands, your data would be protected from unauthorised access.

HPE offers a limited lifetime warranty of for HPE LTO Ultrium cartridges, including up to 30 years archival life if stored at the recommended storage conditions.  This ensures that businesses can meet the ever-increasing demands of regulation for data retention and archiving.
