DESCRIPTION

This HP/HPE LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridge is designed for use with HP and HPE LTO Ultrium drives and can be used with other brands of drive - as long as they show the LTO Ultrium logo.  LTO drives are used for data storage and backup, and like all magnetic tape drives, their heads can accumulate dust, dirt, or magnetic particles that can affect their performance.

Above all, HP/HPE media offers extreme reliability under a whole range of conditions. However, to avoid recording or read errors, it is recommended that you regularly use a high quality cleaning cartridge.  Utilising a cleaning cartridge is an important part of maintaining the tape drive as it cleans the heads which read and write the data.  By keeping the tape drive heads clean, the HP/HPE LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridge helps to maintain optimal performance, reducing errors and prolonging the lifespan of the tape drive.

SPECIFICATIONS

• The HP/HPE LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridge can be used in all LTO Ultrium drives all the way from the LTO1 drive to the LTO9 drive.
• The HP LTO Cleaning Cartridge is orange signifying that it is a HPE branded LTO Ultrium cleaning cartridge.
• This cleaning tape  has a limited number of cleaning cycles, typically between 15 and 50 times depending on the drive and environment.
