Sustainable Development Goals
As a member of the Freightways group of companies, TIMG shares a commitment to the development of our business, our people and the broader community.
TIMG SDGs
Working towards a sustainable future
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a unique roadmap to achieve an equitable and sustainable future for all. At TIMG, we have adopted five of the UN’s SDGs addressing all forms of poverty, fighting inequality and tackling climate change through to 2030.
| We remain committed to playing our part and making an impact in our local communities.
TIMG SDG 3
Good health and well-being
Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being are essential to building prosperous societies and businesses. At TIMG, we understand the importance of universal health coverage and access to quality essential healthcare services. We have invested in support structures for all TIMG staff, ensuring access to safe, effective, quality and affordable healthcare services for all.
TIMG SDG 8
Decent work and economic growth
We aim to achieve higher levels of economic productivity through diversification, technological upgrading and innovation. We also understand that to achieve our goals and targets, we need to protect the labour rights of our employees while promoting safe and secure working environments for all.
TIMG SDG 9
Industry, innovation and infrastructure
Operating an innovative, reliable and sustainable infrastructure is a key focus for our business. With an increased awareness of how we do business, we are constantly reviewing our operational efficiencies while looking to reduce our environmental impact. Efficiency driven by environmentally sound technologies, processes and resources remains a constant and evolving goal for TIMG.
TIMG SDG 13
Climate action
In alignment with our parent company, Freightways, we aim to reduce our carbon emissions, and our collective commitment includes targeting a 35% reduction in our CO2 emissions by 2030 and a 50% reduction by 2035 – by transitioning the fleets we operate and contract to alternate fuel cell technology over time.
TIMG SDG 16
Peace, justice and strong institutions
Our ongoing focus areas are ethics, integrity and transparency. We place significant emphasis on being straight-up, leading by example and doing the right thing. We pay our taxes in the countries we operate in and abide by all laws and regulations. We pay our suppliers on time, every time, and we seek to enter into responsible partnerships.
