Glen Baars
National Online Backup Manager
“The online backup industry is huge and continues to expand. My goal is to double the size of the business within 3 years.”
Hi, I’m Glen Baars the Managing Director of Southwest Data. 2 years ago, I sold most of my shares in Southwest Data to TIMG.
I currently work with the team to support existing clients, ensure IT infrastructure availability, implement new service offerings, improve business workflow and grow server implementation to support business growth.
We have achieved so much in the past 5 years, becoming the largest Veeam service provider in Australia and New Zealand. We developed a digital archive solution (OpenDiscover) that scales to any business size and we recently transitioned our storage backend to a new platform. We did all of that with a small support team that was goal driven and highly efficient.
In my new National Online Backup Manager role, I will manage sales and marketing of our online backup products. I’m looking forward to developing a cohesive market strategy that achieves sales targets and increases sales activity within our Managed Service Provider (MSP) partnerships. In my new role, I’ll also want to further develop and strengthen a channel like approach that provides our partners with the tools and confidence to resell our products in the market. The online backup industry is huge and continues to rapidly expand. My goal is to double the size of the business within 3 years.
Jason Carr
National Digitisation Manager
“The transition to National Digitisation Manager will require an approach that feeds off an increasingly educated market.”
In my current role I am the Regional Manager for NSW/ACT & TAS. During my time with TIMG, I have gained a deep understanding of the information needs of businesses across a wide variety of industries.
During this time, through efficient teamwork, we have achieved many milestones. If I had to pick a few, I would say overseeing the construction of the NSW facility in 2016 to consolidate 4 businesses and relocate more than 1 million records in just over 3 months (on time and under budget) has been the highlight, along with driving strong revenue growth of over 60% (in the last 5 years) in the document storage business.
The transition to National Digitisation Manager will require an approach that feeds off an increasingly educated market. Our approach needs to be agile enough to engage with businesses that are wanting to commence their journey of “physical to digital” from scratch, as well as, those that are already well on their way and see TIMG as a provider of bespoke managed service offerings. Both journeys ultimately require a strong vision and I am excited to be working with the team to successfully drive growth in this business line.
Digitisation is a competitive market with many varied solutions on offer. At TIMG we have an impressive organic market with the documents that we store and manage and one of my challenges, is to help the many businesses out there who seek to understand their role in driving a return from the digitising of their records. I look forward to tackling these challenges head on.
I’m very proud to be part of a team that thrives on innovation, real solutions and teamwork. We work hard to feed and maintain an honest and engaged workforce that strives to succeed at every level. This new and exciting opportunity is one that I am very proud to be entrusted with on behalf of TIMG.

National Bureau Manager
“Affecting change will require everyone’s input and only together can we bring new ideas to life.”
As the WA bureau manager, I was able to help grow the WA business by strengthening existing relationships and bringing on new clients.
I’ve always believed that we need to develop mutually beneficial relationships with our clients across our business. It’s only through trusted and reliable service that we can build ongoing business relationships.
With my new role as National Bureau Manager, I’ll oversee all aspects of the strategic direction for the bureaus nationally. I think the most exciting part of the new role will be my engagement with our fantastic staff and clients. Affecting change will require everyone’s input and only together, will we bring new ideas to life.
I mention bringing new ideas to life intentionally as this is what we did with PrintEasy, our print app. Given the incredible rise in the number of people needing to work remotely over the past five months, we released PrintEasy to the market allowing document printing to take place from anywhere be it at the office or from home. This innovative idea removes the hassle and technical issues associated with on premise printing while freeing up the process around document production and distribution – all managed by our print bureaus, nationally.
These new ideas are what will take our business forward. In my new role, I will be focusing on developing new ways of providing our clients with innovative solutions to their problems.
Print is not dead, yet!
